Things You Should Never Say To A Pregnant Woman

There are some things that should be left unspoken in front of pregnant women, these are just a few of the phrases and sayings I have heard while I am pregnant.

So if you know someone who is pregnant and you value your life, then I suggest you avoid these at all cost.

1. Look at how big your getting!

Do you not think I know this already or are you saying I look fat? It's nice to be reminded that I am growing a mini me but do not need constantly reminded about how much weight I have put on.

2. You look really tired

Well it is tiring work growing another human being, not only that but I am constantly up all night needing a wee or trying to find a comfortable position to be in. So if your politely trying to say I look like crap, then trust me I already know.

3. How many children are you planning to have?

Seriously, I haven't even given birth to this child, let alone think of the prospect of having anymore.

4. Was your pregnancy planned?

Does it matter? No. It does not matter whether this child was planned or was a happy accident. Either way this child will be loved forever and always.

5. Are you going to be breastfeeding or using formula?

Why is my choice going to affect your life? Well if it isn't why does it matter how my child will be fed. No matter what I choose, I know that my child will be fed and be healthy.

6. Can I touch your belly?

This is probably my least favourite. What am I a circus attraction or an animal from the zoo, that you think you can pet? No I am not, so please refrain from touching me unless I have specifically stated you can.

7. Your life will never be the same again.

I already know that my life is going to change drastically, but I am looking forward to the next chapter as a family, so stop making it sound like bringing a new life into the world is going to ruin my life.

How many of you have had these sort of comments. If you could add anything to this list what would it be? Let me know in the comments.
